Jeder Stadtmensch wird das kennen: viele Mitbürger im öffentlichen Raum können kaum den Blick von ihrem Handy lassen. Ich kann mir gar nicht vorstellen, daß die alle so wichtig sund, daß immer dringende Sachen rein kommen. Wenn ich mal jemandem in der U-Bahn über die Schulter sehe, dann wird da oft genug nur Candy Crush (oder so) gezockt. Heute in Hamburgs schönstem Park beobachtete ich ein junges Paar. Händchen haltend, bei ein Smartphone in der anderen Hand. Dann setzen sie sich wortlos auf eine Parkbahn und legen sofort mit dem Telefon los. – Übel finde ich auch, wenn mein Gesprächspartner in einer guten Unterhaltung ansatzlos an sein klingelndes Telefon geht; eine Entschuldigung wäre das Mindeste. Aber…
Ich würde es ernsthaft begrüßen, wenn man diesen armen Seelen in der Schule einen gesunden Umgang mit der allgegenwärtigen Erreichbarkeit beibringt. Medienkompetenz ist in unserer Gesellschaft eh unter entwickelt.
Every city dweller will know this: many citizens in public spaces can hardly take their eyes off their mobile phones. I can’t imagine that they are all so important that urgent things always come in. When I look over someone’s shoulder in the underground, often enough they’re just playing Candy Crush (or something). Today, in Hamburg’s most beautiful Park, I observed a young couple. Holding hands, with a smartphone in the other hand. Then they sit down wordlessly on a park lane and immediately start playing with their phones. – I also find it nasty when the person I’m talking to in a good conversation answers his ringing phone without a word; an apology would be the least I could do. But…
I would seriously welcome it if these poor souls were taught at school how to deal with ubiquitous accessibility in a healthy way. Media literacy is underdeveloped in our society anyway.
